Thank you for your prompt response, Miss Rose... Was there a declaration of silence at the meeting (Which you would have broken, by the way! lol), or has everyone had their tongues (fingers) cut out (off), and you're using some other means, like your nose, or a pencil in your mouth? lol Would you please post your letter to your sister on here, in order for everyone to enjoy it? I for one, would be most grateful, and I'm sure a lot of others would be as well! I'm sure I'm not alone, when I say thank you so much for all your hard work (and all that traveling), to be Our State's official Organizer for all of Maine's Reenactors!!! ;D You're quite a gal! P.S. I hope the knocking in your truck isn't a "big" problem!!! If so, please let us know, and I'm sure we have (or know) someone that knows about that sort of stuff, and can help you out!

My dear Mr. McKendry~ While I am most humbled by your dubbing me "Our State's official Organizer for all of Maine's Reenactors", I am afraid you give me too much credit. I am merely an instrument by which we will get things organized and in line for the Sesquicentennial. The real folks are all of us who work to preserve the memory of those who fought and lived so that we may enjoy the Freedoms we do today.
As to the declaration of silence... I am happy to report there was much discussion at the meeting. I brought some of the concerns with me yesterday and am planning accordingly. I am hoping that in time, such delightful/insightful discussions will be happening in this forum as well.
Individually, I know folks must be beside themselves when I speak with them and ask them to shoot me an email to remind me of our discussion. (Keith. LOL )I do so of the fear I may forget to follow through on someone's request/information.
A special thanks to everyone who attended the meeting and those who have contacted me otherwise. I know that making it to meetings is not always an option.... but our website is! I look forward to the coming years and all the potential the 20th has.
til later~ Miss Rose
