The Historic Naval Ships Association has posted digitized copies of microfilm of 63,000 pages of World War 2 United States Naval submarine patrol reports. I find this to be a tremendously interesting resource. Being microfilm of the original paper reports, it is difficult to read in places. But a primary source is always interesting to have access to! One noted to me is is from SS-410 Threadfin, on April 6, 1945, the day she sited the Japanese battleship Yamato which was enroute to beaching herself on Okinawa. Enjoy! Also~ anyone interested, I have actual footage of the USS Missouri when she came home to port in Hawaii if you'd like to see it. I worked onboard her to help refurbish her for visitors back in 1999. www.hnsa.org/index.htm
