Dear Patriots,
Mother Nature's sense of humor was evident yesterday as I witnessed snow,
hail, rain, and high winds. Much of it while a big bright sun beamed down
between the scattered dark clouds. You just never know, do you?
MaineMilitia.com turned 10 years old today! Thank you to everyone who
contributes and encourages it's success. mainemilitia.com/node/1070

Check out the upcoming events happening in Maine at
mainemilitia.com/calendar [3]. Thanks go out to the leadership of the
3rd Maine, 20th Maine Co. B and 15th Alabama for allowing me to add their
schedule to the MaineMilitia.com calendar. All additions and corrections are
welcome!
But please see the respective units for official announcements.

Battle at Fort Knox
Scheduled for July 23-25, 2010 ftknox.mainemilitia.com/
And speaking of the Battle at Fort Knox, or BaFK, as Miss Rose is
abbreviating it, a poll has been added to the website in an attempt to
encourage people to visit regularly. This week we ask where your loyalties
lie? Come on by and vote! Also, if you have a suggestion for an activity or
scenario to take place that weekend then please feel free to contact Miss
Rose. And she is also looking for any non-reenactor volunteers who would like
to help out at the event. You can find out how to contact her and other ways
to keep up with the news of the event at the website:

And lastly, check out the new and improved website of the New England Brigade
at newenglandbrigade.org/ [5] Congratulations to General Burbank and
his staff on this change!
I got some very good responses from last months newsletter so I am going to
try to send a new one each month. If you have something to contribute or want
to help then come on by MaineMilitia.com and join in!
Your humble servant,
Michael Johnson
